A little less posing.
A lot more you.
You don’t need to practice being good at photos.
You just need to show up together.
We’ll find a place that feels right, hang out for a bit, and make photographs that look like the two of you. I’ll give you direction when you need it and let things happen when you don’t.

Let’s make being in front of the camera feel a little less weird.
Most people don’t spend their weekends having professional photos taken. So if your first thought is “we’re going to be awkward,” you’re in good company.
Your engagement session gives us a chance to get to know each other before the wedding. You get to see how I work. I get to learn a little about your dynamic, what makes you laugh, and when to step back.
By the time your wedding arrives, I want you to feel like you already know the guy with the camera.

Somewhere you can be yourselves.
A trail you walk together. A downtown you love. An open field at the end of the day. Your session doesn’t need a dramatic backdrop to mean something.
We can talk through locations around Easton, Bethlehem, Allentown, and the rest of the Lehigh Valley. If you have somewhere else in mind, tell me about it. We’ll work out what makes sense for your plans.
I’ll help you think through the light, the season, and how much walking you actually want to do. Comfortable shoes for getting around are always a good idea.
Keep it simple. Make it yours.
Tell me about you.
Share what you’re planning, whether you have a wedding date, and what you want these photographs to feel like. It’s a conversation, not a test.
We’ll make a plan.
We’ll talk through location ideas, timing, and outfits so you aren’t left figuring everything out on your own.
Show up together.
I’ll help you get started, give you something to do, and leave room for the laughs and little moments that happen in between.
The photographs should feel familiar.
The way you lean into each other. The look that starts a laugh. The quiet moment when you stop thinking about the camera. Those are the things I’m looking for, alongside a few portraits you’ll want to frame.

A few things to help you get started.
You don’t have to choose every detail before you reach out. If you’re weighing seasons or wondering how engagement photos fit into your wedding plans, these are good places to start.
Engagement session questions
What if we’re awkward in photos?
You don’t need to know what to do with your hands before you get here. I’ll give you direction and help you settle in. The session is a chance to get comfortable, not a performance.
Where should we have our engagement photos taken?
Start with somewhere you enjoy being together. We can talk through local options and choose a location based on the season, the light, and the kind of session you want.
What should we wear?
Choose clothes you feel good moving around in. Coordinating colors usually works better than matching everything. We can talk through your ideas when planning the session.
When should we schedule our session?
Think about your favorite season and whether you want to use the photographs for save-the-dates or wedding details. Tell me your timeline, and we’ll discuss what works with availability and the light.
How does an engagement session fit into wedding photography?
It gives us time to get to know each other before the wedding. Tell me what coverage you’re considering, and I’ll explain the engagement options available with your collection.
Tell me a little about the two of you.
Have a location in mind? No idea where to start? Either works. Tell me about your plans and we’ll take it from there.
